Our devoré silk viscose velvet scarves are a dream surface for dyers and silk artists. The raised viscose pile has a soft, luminous sheen, while the silk backing remains smooth and fluid — creating a beautiful contrast in both texture and colour.

Each scarf is finished with a hand-rolled hem, sewn with silk thread for a refined, professional edge.

These scarves dye exceptionally well and are especially exciting for artists who love layered colour effects. Because the viscose pile and silk backing respond differently to dye, you can achieve rich, nuanced results — from subtle tonal shifts to bold, contrasting combinations.

For best results, we recommend H. Dupont Alter Ego and H Dupont Classique dyes to create two completely different colours on the viscose pile and the silk backing in a single piece.
