Devore Burn-Out Paste is an etching medium designed for cellulose–silk blend fabrics. It selectively dissolves the cellulose fibres to reveal semi-transparent patterns, leaving the silk untouched. Commonly used on silk/viscose velvet and similar blends, it creates a striking contrast where the viscose is removed and the silk remains.
