H Dupont Alter Ego Dyes

Alter Ego dyes are for plant-based fibres like cotton, linen and viscose.

The colours are as bright, intense and luminous as the H Dupont Classique Silk Dyes. They can be used for simple dyeing or double dyeing (for part-plant, part-animal fabrics) in combination with H Dupont Classique colours.

Simple dyeing with Alter Ego

1. For 1 litre of water (10-20 g of fabric), allow 15 ml of Alter Ego colour and 10 ml of coarse salt.
2. In a pan of warm water, add the colour and coarse salt. Mix well.
3. Rinse the fabric, wring out and immerse it still wet in the mixture.
4. On a low heat, stir for 5 minutes then increase to boil. Continue stirring throughout the dyeing. Keep the bath boiling for 5 minutes. Then let stand out of the heat for 10 minutes.
5. Rinse and wash with soap and water. Let dry before fixing.
