H Dupont Anti-spread, Water-based
H. Dupont Water-Based Anti-Spread – controlled dye movement for silk painting
H. Dupont Water-Based Anti-Spread is used in silk painting to control dye movement and prevent unwanted spreading on fabric. It does not block dye completely but slows and contains spread. It helps create defined edges and sharper detail by limiting how far dyes travel once applied.
It is commonly used for outlining, fine detail work, and layered painting techniques where precision is important. Applied to silk before or during painting, it allows greater control over colour placement while still maintaining a soft fabric handle.
Because it is water-based, it integrates easily into silk painting workflows and washes out during finishing, leaving no visible residue.
Why use it
- Prevents dye bleeding and uncontrolled spreading
- Produces crisp lines and fine detail
- Improves control in silk painting techniques
- Washes out after fixing
