This beautiful silk viscose velvet scarf has a soft, plush velvet surface with a smooth silk backing. The warm white base takes dye readily, allowing colours to develop rich depth and subtle variation.

Each scarf is finished with hand-rolled hems stitched in silk thread.

Velvet responds especially well to dyeing and is a wonderful fabric to experiment with if you’re curious about devoré (burn-out) techniques. The contrast between the silk backing and the viscose pile creates striking results, even with simple designs.

Ideal for wearable art, decorative scarves, or as a feature piece for creative exploration.
