Extracted from roots and rhizomes of Rubia Cordifolia. Also known as Indian madder or Common Madder. Rubia Cordifolia Extract carries Phytochemicals, Purpurin, Manjestin, Alizarin, and Pseudopurpurin that provides red colour in different tones.

Dye colour
Reds and pinks, turkey red and a variety yellows and browns.
Mordants
- For protein fibres – use alum mordant at 15% WOF.
- For cellulose fibres – mordant with tannin at 8% WOF and then alum at 15% or aluminium acetate at 8% WOF.
