Obtained from Chlorophora tinctoria, a tree from the Mulberry family.

Yields bright yellows, deep golds and oranges without mordants.

Mordant

• For protein fibres – use alum mordant at 15% WOF, use iron at 2-4% WOF.
• For cellulose fibres – mordant with alum at 15%.  There is enough tannin in Fustic so no extra is needed.
