Himalayan Rubrub

Himalayan Rubrub is a species of Rhubarb grown in Tibet for its yellow dye.

Dye colour

Yields strong yellows, gold yellow and oranges.

Mordants

• For protein fibres – use alum mordant at 15% WOF.
• For cellulose fibres – mordant with tannin at 8% WOF, or alum at 15% WOF.
